Hello I'm looking for a PVR type box to go with an IPGuys sub. I was told by a local reseller that the xpl3000 CAN'T record with an IPGuys sub. Is this true?
Does anyone here use an xpl3000 with IPGuys? Are you able to record?
An alternate option I was looking at is the Formuler Z7+. Does this box allow recording with IPGuys?

I have the 3000 and recording doesn’t work at the best of times. It’s not a provider feature, it’s a box feature. I rely more on catch-up, which I find works way better than the recording feature.
Another thing to keep in mind is that your box can only record what it’s tuned to, even if you have a multi-box sub. There are very few (if any) boxes that will record a different channel than the one that’s tuned in.
A good catch-up service (which IS a provider feature) gives you the same functionality, but on multiple channels.
I dont think recording is part of iptv subs rather a iptv box feature so it should work the same with every service
