A bad time to move providers

by j2225

Ok, increasingly we are seeing new and old resellers trying to pick up new customers as far as I can tell these are just opportunists trying to take advantage of the situation

The recent issues with XC where two-fold obviously the loss of the provider's panels and the continuing issues with 1000`s of channels not being available.

I will give you an example Helix was affected by XC panel going down I believe that a had a backup so there was not a total loss of service but they were and still are very much affected by the loss of these channels from what I understand some these channel also came through the XC backend.

My advice would be if your provider is working to some degree stick with them they are in the same position and every other provider.

Until all of these channels are set up again it does not matter who you go with and changing right now will make no difference, I think we have all lost viewing time and potentially money just remember the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Edited to affect corrected information.

================================================================= I really don't want to turn this post into a who to go with or not go with BUT IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS AND REALLY NEED A PROVIDER keep your expectations low and use someone you can trust see below for a linked post to some established resellers

Well said👍🏼

Helix was affected. They’re still recovering. They moved all resellers over to a backup panel. The panel isn’t as good as XC. I agree with you to some extent. Most providers are still recovering. Load balancing has been the biggest issue. If your provider is still down then there is about 90% chance they have no idea what they’re doing.

problem is customers are too desperate they want answers like we are happy turning them off

we tried to explain them everything but no its working for him why not for me

where these scammers just keep on posting service is up

What's your opinion on getting into IPTV as a newbie in the current situation? Or would it be better to wait a bit for things to smooth out for a while?

appandweb

100% agree and well said ! My provider is cloudspal , same as helix they stayed online but some channels went offline but its worth waiting things to get more clear before moving to a new provider

Well said, mate.
I'm obviously a new provider, started about a week before "the incident" so was a big hit to start with and then a sudden influx of new leads/clients wanting to switch.
I try to be honest with my clients and suggest they all do trials first to make sure they know what they're signing up for, and just remind that no one has 100% up channels (which is annoying for me as a user too) but we all working hard to get alternatives going.

I'm definitely not accepting new customers yet

Agreed. And it seems like to me that they are also jacking up prices a little. Just an observation. I'm doing fine with mine but

I switched to skysoccerplus. So far it is perfect. I recommend it. It has every sport event in both Spanish and English language. Movies are English and HD.

All this has shown is how stupid the majority of users are. I know this is totally unpopular, but the sheer amount of griping and bitching about the $15 you lost and your inability to watch your life or death football, or whatever else shows just how few people actually understood wtf they were getting into. Then the people who got scammed without vetting the new "providers/resellers" shows how desperate everyone is.

Meanwhile, those of us on stalker based providers are laughing our heads off as we were unaffected. The benefit of using a real box with a real provider, and not our TV's or Xboxes or fridges.

My advice, let this be a lesson to all you on just how fucking stupid you are when it comes to your TV. These services can and will disappear at the drop of a hat, and the sheer amount of you who freaked the fuck out shows that you still didn't understand this.
